The Sweater Coat

So this is my FAVORITE sweater. Why? Because almost every time I wear it, someone asks where I bought it and I can reply "I made it!" It looks like it is much more complicated than it really is. Just follow the chart. If you know how to do a cable, you can make this sweater. REALLY! The pattern is Sylvi by Mari Muinonen and can be found on twist collective.

The only thing I would do differently is the sleeve. As you can see, it's a bit too long. To be fair, the picture of the sweater on the pattern has a long sleeve also, so I should have known. I just find it annoyingly long when I wear it. If I were to make it again (which is no fun, in my opinion) I would shorten the sleeves by one inch.
Other than that, the sweater is perfect!

  2. Absolutely gorgeous sweater! Isn't is fun to wear something you made? Maybe you could just turn up a little hem and stitch it down to shorten the sleeves.
